ICONAG-Days 2021 - B-CONNECTED to the future

This was the motto of the ICONAG-DAYS 2021, which took place for the first time on June 8 and 9, 2021, both in one of our reference buildings, the Leonardo Hotel Bad Kreuznach, and digitally.

Exchange of experience and personal contact with our customers and partners is very important to us. The ICONAG Days are a proven opportunity to deepen contacts and to get a personal and comprehensive overview of new possibilities and available technologies, which the top-class expert contributions provide.

During this year's ICONAG Days, however, digitization did not mean distance. The new hybrid concept made the event flexible for participants. Those who were less interested in networking and preferred to participate from the comfort of their (home) office had secured an online seat in the front row. Thus, the ICONAG-DAYS 2021 offered the on-site audience and the digital participants alike the optimal opportunity for an exchange of knowledge and experiences with important users and professional colleagues from different industries. Anyone who wanted to update their knowledge of vendor-neutral technical building management, building control technology and energy management was represented at ICONAG-DAYS 2021.

On the first day of the event, the focus was on the topic "Professionally Up-to-Date for Planning, Tendering and Implementation of a Management and Operating Facility". Christian Wild, ICONAG Managing Director, opened the event with an outlook on trends in building automation from the perspective of the management level. Other presentations provided information on the specification of vendor-neutral management and operating equipment, VDI or AMEV & Co: regulations for management and operating equipment, secure networking - protecting technical building equipment and infrastructure, and digitalization in facility management.

The second day dealt with "Integration and migration of existing systems - the oil for digitalization of building automation". Experts answered the questions: How do I get the data? How do I ensure a digitization-capable identification system in my real estate portfolio? Integration examples from various companies were presented. For B-CON software customers, B-CON professionals from ICONAG shared their insider knowledge for efficient implementation of challenging projects, IT and GA security, and efficient MBE/EnMS creation. They also encouraged participants to help shape the company's development roadmap. At the end of the event, Christian Wild gave a future outlook "Quo Vadis ICONAG?"

Once again it has been confirmed: The ICONAG Days are more than just advanced training. The participants received valuable first-hand practical tips on the conceptual design, planning, implementation and operation of cross-manufacturer building automation and energy management projects, which go far beyond product-specific knowledge. This was confirmed by the positive feedback from both the speakers and the numerous participants.

The organization of the hybrid premiere was also praised. The extensive lectures followed one after the other, and the time frame could be kept well. The evening event on the first day took place at Bonnheimer Hof in Hackenheim. It was characterized by a wonderful atmosphere and a relaxed get-together, which the participants - after the long period of contact restrictions - visibly enjoyed.

"Despite Corona and a changed concept, the ICONAG Days were once again very successful for us," Christian Wild is pleased to report. "They will continue to have a place in our schedule and will take place every two years. So the next ICONAG Days are planned for 2023."

»I am almost a standard speaker at the ICONAG Days. It is always impressive to see the range of information that is shown here, from technical regulations to safety. I will be happy to be available again at the next ICONAG Days.«

Wolfgang Heck – ISONA GmbH, Speaker

»Our company is a long-standing partner of ICONAG. Today I was able to experience a day full of experience, under difficult conditions and yet well organized. I took away a lot of information and will be happy to come back.«

Markus Anisewicz – WAGO Kontakttechnik GmbH & Co. KG, Speaker

»This is my first time at the ICONAG Days, as our company has been using the ICONAG software for only half a year. Today I got a comprehensive impression about the possibilities with ICONAG and about the very good cooperation.«

Christian Weitzmann – Frequenz Elektro GmbH, Guest

»I am a regular guest at the ICONAG Days and am very happy to have been there again. For me as an in-house consultant for building automation, this is an exciting event because an exchange of experiences takes place together with specialists and expert consultants. This gives us an overview of where the journey of building automation is heading in the next few years.«

Sebastian Mitscherlich – Bauerfeind AG, Guest and Speaker
